Shrimp Vodka Pasta
Enriched with vodka, the sauce meets shrimp and the spicy, smoky notes of Salsa Macha for a modern Italian-inspired twist.
Ingredients
- 1 pack linguine
- 500 g cleaned medium shrimp
- 4 jumbo shrimp (shell-on)
- 10–12 shallots
- 12–15 cherry tomatoes (or jarred tomatoes)
- 2 cloves garlic
- Chives (finely chopped)
- Fresh thyme
- 1 shot vodka
- 1 carton cream
- Lemon zest
- Olive oil
- Salt, black pepper
- Seres Salsa Macha Sauce
- (Optional) Grated Parmesan
Preparation
Finely chop the shallots and garlic. Sauté in a pan with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
Add the medium shrimp and cook briefly. Pour in the vodka and carefully flambé to let the alcohol evaporate.
In a separate pan, cook the cherry tomatoes with olive oil, fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper until softened. If you like, lightly crush the tomatoes.
Combine the tomato mixture with the shrimp, add the cream, and simmer on low heat until the sauce thickens.
At this stage, add Seres Salsa Macha Sauce to taste and mix well.
In a separate bowl, season the jumbo shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Grill or cook in a cast-iron pan, then set aside for serving.
Boil the linguine in salted water until al dente, drain, and toss with the sauce.
